Mulled Wine Steeping (Swedish Glögg)
Swedish glögg is a traditional spiced mulled wine, often served warm during winter festivities. It features a delightful combination of spices and fruits, making it a warming winter beverage.






Ingredients
750 ml of Red Wine
100 ml of Brandy
100 g of Sugar
4 of Cinnamon Sticks
10 of Whole Cloves
2 of Star Anise
1 Orange of Orange Peel
50 g of Almonds (blanched)
Instructions
1. Combine red wine and brandy in a large pot.
2. Add sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and orange peel to the pot.
3. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves, and do not let it boil.
4. Let the mixture steep on low heat for about 30-60 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Strain the mixture into mugs or heatproof glasses.
6. Garnish with blanched almonds and extra cinnamon sticks if desired.
